Bio

Evan completed his PhD in Food Sovereignty and Agroecology in 2021. He currently works as an Assistant Professor of Community Food Systems at the Trent School of the Environment, where he hosts the Towards Equity in Sustainability Transitions lab. 

Evan is a visual sociologist and urban political ecologist. Previous to his current position, Evan was the Acting Director at the Food and Agriculture Institute at the University of the Fraser Valley. He also taught a number of sociology courses at the University of Manitoba, including courses on visual methods and sociology and film.
